Crossing boundaries...

Louise and I are about to cross over yet another boundary...this time the boundary between the United States of America and Canada. We are on our way to a two week Missions training course in Toronto...Missions Prep: IMPACT.

As we are driving, we have been able to stop and enjoy the beauty of our surroundings. We have camped two nights so far and are currently in Niagara Falls. Actually, to be more specific, we are in the Red Roof Inn in Niagara Falls. We stayed here with Hanno, Lauren, and Jeremiah two years ago after my graduation from Trinity. At that time, we celebrated the doctorate that has opened the door to this next adventure...of starting a theological training school in Gambela, Ethiopia.

We are crossing many boundaries, it seems...but as our Lord is leading us forward, onward, and upward, we are learning to walk by faith, and not by sight - a cliche to be sure, but one which we are beginning to realize is not unusual for boundary crossers. In fact, this is the way God intended for us to walk with Him in total dependency and trust.

Pray with and for us as we try to keep in step with the Spirit...pray for hearts open to be shaped by His heart and for faith and courage to follow wherever He leads.
